Employee's Fingers Are Amputated by Table Saw

At approximately 3:30 p.m. on December 9, 2003, Employee #1 was working in the mill department of a recreational vehicle manufacturer. The mill department is where interior trim is fabricated. He was removing excess stock from a Rockwell table saw after trimming a cabinet door. The third and fourth fingers of his left hand contacted the guarded and rotating saw blade. He sustained amputation of the tip of these fingers, up to the first knuckle. The table saw involved in this accident was a Rockwell "Delta", Serial Number 1256781, equipped with a 12-inch blade.
