Employee's finger amputated by saw blade

At approximately 12:40 p.m. on March 18, 2003, Employee #1, a machine operator, was operating a Delta Unisaw to cut a piece of oak when the wood bound up and the saw kicked back. The index finger on his right hand was amputated by the saw blade and he was transported to US Healthworks in Riverside, CA for emergency medical care.
