Employee is burned in release of heated liquid

On May 20, 2004, Employee #1 opened the site glass on the Thin Film #3 Production Line in order to unclog sand-like liquid material that was heated to 200-240 degrees Fahrenheit. He sustained burns when the material was suddenly released, and was then hospitalized for treatment. The employer failed to relieve internal pressure or use other methods to prevent the sudden release of heated material.
