Employee injured when struck by refrigerator case

At approximately 12:59 p.m. on March 4, 2002, an employee was unloading a delicatessen refrigerator case from a flatbed truck using a forklift. The unsecured load was raised approximately 6 feet above the ground when it fell off the forks and landed on Employee #1, the superintendent, causing a serious spinal injury.
