Carpenter Is Injured in Fall from Roof

At approximately 2:30 p.m. on February 1, 2006, Employee #1, a carpenter with Grant Construction, Inc., was descending from the 10-ft-high roof of a single-family residence under construction. As he stepped off from the roof to the top rung of an 8-ft stepladder, he fell to the ground, landing on construction debris. Employee #1 was hospitalized at Kern Medical Center for unspecified fractures.
