Employee Crushes Fingers in Machine

On February 25, 2005, Employee #1, a supervisor, removed a guard after some film became stuck in the Tiropak machine. Employee #1 held the film in place and asked a coworker to start the machine. When the machine turned on, Employee #1's left hand was pulled into the machine. Employee #1's left pinky, ring and middle fingers sustained a crush injury and he was hospitalized.
