Employee Injured When Pinned Between Fork Lift And Wall

On October 16, 2004, Employee #1 was operating a Raymond High Reach forklift and as he approached an intersection and applied the brake. The brake failed and the forklift rolled into the wall. To apply the brake employees had to lift their foot up off the pedal. When Employee #1 did this, his leg extended outside the cab. Employee #1's foot hit the wall forcing his knee into the forklift compartment wall. Employee #1 sustained a broken leg and was hospitalized.
