Employee Suffers Amputation When Hand Crushed By Roller

On October 19, 2004, Employee #1 a sales representative and trouble shooter for a hydraulic control component distribution company was at a clients business during the start up of a new piece of equipment. Employee #1 leaned on the rollers of the equipment while talking to the client. As the client's employee was exiting off the piece of equipment, his buttock accidentally hit the control and activated the rollers. Employee #1's hand was pulled in and he sustained an amputation of two fingers. Employee #1 was hospitalized.
