Employee Sustains Head Injury in Fall Through Roof Sheeting

On October 1, 2009, Employee #1, a foreman/carpenter, was part of a crew laying out plywood sheets on a roofing joist, for an extension of the Marin Humane Society Animal Shelter. Employee #1 stepped on an unsecured plywood sheet and fell 12 feet to the concrete floor. As a result of the fall, Employee #1 sustained serious head injuries (fractures), and he was hospitalized.
