Employee's Fingers Injured When Saw Kicks Back

On March 7, 2001, Employee #1 was resawing a piece of Alder. He reached over the saw and material and tried to pull the material through the saw with his right hand. The material kicked back and his hand was drawn into the saw blade resulting in open fractures and lacerations to the second and third fingers. Employee #1 was hospitalized.
