Event: 05/09/1997

One employee killed, one injured when struck by truck

Employees #1 and #2 were working in the shoulder of the north-bound lane of a roadway. They were about to paint a temporary white traffic line relocating the shoulder of the road when a pick-up truck drove down the south-bound lane. It swerved across the north-bound lane and into the shoulder, striking Employees #1 and #2. Employee #1 was killed and Employee #2 sustained injuries that required hospitalization.
