EMPLOYEE SUFFERED AN ASTHMA ATTACK

A 54-year-old cook had finished working for the day and was in a locker room changing his clothing. His last job that day had been to steam vegetables. While he was changing clothes, he suffered an acute asthma attack. The general manager was alerted to the problem and found the cook on the floor, gasping for air and using a nasal spray. Emergency medical services arrived about 10 minutes later. They transported the cook to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
