ELECTRIC SHOCK - DIRECT CONTACT WITH ENERGIZED CONDUCTOR

An employee on a power line crew was standing on the ground holding an overhead ground or static line, which was not supposed to be energized. However, the employee received an electric shock and fell to ground unconscious. A coworker administered cardio-pulmonary resuscitation and revived the employee. Unfortunately, he apparently died later from the electric shock.
