Employee Is Killed in Fall from Bleacher Seats

On August 14, 2002, Employee #1, the president of the company and the supervisor of two coworkers, were preparing the folding bleacher seats for an event at a college athletic facility. The crew was behind a section of seats. They were unfolding the section by pushing it away from the wall, when the section became stuck and did not move any further. Employee #1 walked around to the front side to determine why the bleachers were sticking. A few minutes later, the coworkers who were behind the bleachers heard a thud. They went around to the front and found Employee #1 lying on the floor. Emergency Services responded and transported him to the hospital, where he died of head injuries sustained in the fall.
