Employee injured when caught in flexing machine roller

Employee #1, a 19-year-old temporary worker supplied by Manpower, Inc., was using a flexing machine that unwinds rolls of abrasive material. The machine puts the material through a series of rollers and a water process and then rewinds it. Employee #1 was threading the abrasive material onto the receiving end core when he accidentally became caught between the roller and the core. He sustained injuries that required hospitalization.
