ELECTRIC SHOCK - DIRECT CONTACT WITH OVERHEAD LINE

AN EMPLOYEE WAS WORKING FROM AN AERIAL LIFT BUCKET THAT WAS 39 FEET ABOVE THE GROUND. THE EMPLOYEE WAS UPGRADING AN OVERHEAD LINE. HE HAD POSITIONED HIMSELF BETWEEN TWO UNPROTECTED 12-KILOVOLT PHASE CONDUCTORS TO RELOCATE THE SYSTEM NEUTRAL. HE WAS ELECTROCUTED WHEN HE CONTACTED THE ENERGIZED LINE.
