Employee dies after falling from scaffold with planks

On or about May 24, 1994, Employee #1 and a friend were standing 28 ft high on homemade scaffold planks on a pump jack scaffold to install a piece of trim around a second floor residence window. For some reason, the scaffold planks fell, causing both men to fall to the ground. Employee #1 was flown by Life Flight to Geisinger Hospital in Danville, PA, where he died later that evening. The friend was treated for serious fractures and bruises at Mercy Hospital in Wilkes-Barre, PA, and was released about one week later.
