An employeed worked in food preparation in a high school kitchen and served food to the students. The employee's last day of work was October 15, 2021. The empl oyee began to experience COVID-19 related symptoms on October 18, 2021, during t he school's fall break which ran from from October 16, 2021, to October 24, 2021 . On October 25, 2021, the employee was hospitalized with COVID-19. On November 14, 2021, the employee died. The date, time and other details leading up to exp osure are not indicated in the narrative, but the employer did not enforce the u se of face masks.
