Summary Nr: 135796.015Event: 02/26/2021Employee Is Killed In Fall From Rolling Scaffolding
At 11:56 a.m. on February 26, 2021, an employee was opening a hatch from a platf orm on a rolling scaffold. The rolling scaffold had a base that was narrower tha n the top, was positioned on slightly uneven ground, and was not tied down. The employee was opening the hatch when his foot appeared to have pushed scaffold b ack and it started to tip over. There were no guardrails on working side of sca ffold and when the scaffold started tipping backwards, the employee fell forward and hit his head on concrete floor below. The employee was killed.
