Investigation Summary
On July 17, 2020, an employee who had provided patient care at a skilled nursing facility COVID-19 unit died from pneumonia related to COVID-19. The employee had worked in the unit from July 1, 2020 through July 10, 2020. Police performing a wellness check found the employee unresponsive at home. The employee was taken to hospital and later died from complications related to COVID-19. Information regarding engineering, administrative and personal protective equipment controls for COVID-19 are not included in the narrative.
