Employee with COVID-19 infection dies

On June 3, 2020, an employee who had been working in a business office for a Native American health services center died from COVID-19. The employee was working as a Nurse when she tested positive for COVID-19 and was hospitalized on May 11, 2020. On May 16, 2020, the employee was transferred to different medical center, where she remained until her death. After an internal assessment was conducted, the employer determined that the infection was community acquired. Information regarding engineering, administrative and personal protective equipment controls for COVID-19 are not included in the narrative.
