Investigation Summary
At 1:30 a.m. on June 18, 2019, an employee was filling in for the operator of a Bosch Flow Wrapper machine when candy became caught in the discharge area. The employee was trying to dislodge the jam when his right index finger became pinched by the crimping jaws. The employee suffered an amputation to the tip of his right index finger. The employee was treated but was not hospitalized.
