Employee amputates left index finger while using Bosch angle

At 1:00 p.m. on March 6, 2019, an employee was cutting a dry bulk trailer with an Bosch angle grinder that was equipped with a toothed cutting blade. The angle grinder was not equipped with a safety guard or a handle, and the employee lost control of the grinder. The employee, then, amputated the left index finger and suffered a laceration to the left palm of the hand. The employee was hospitalized.
