Employees fall to the ground

While stepping out onto a bar joist, an employee lost his balance and fell into another employee's retractable landyard causing him to fall as well. The distance of the fall was less than the protection provided by his fall arrest system. The employee fell 15 feet to the ground before the system could arrest his fall. Both employees were taken to the hospital and treated for fractures.
