Employee's fingers amputated in roller press

At approximately 3:15 p.m. on April 3, 1996, Employee #1, of Bowman and Kemp, was manufacturing window wells when a wrench dropped down through the roller press. When he reached through the machine to retrieve it, he placed his right hand on the press flange, activating the press. The tip of Employee #1's right middle finger and his entire ring finger were amputated. He was taken to McKay Dee Hospital for treatment.
