Employee injured in same-level fall after suffering seizure

Employee #1, age 19, was using a chop saw to cut a piece of metal pipe, while a coworker was doing the welding on a set of stairs for the west side of a loading dock. When the coworker finished welding, he lifted his hood, turned around, and saw Employee #1 lying face down on the ground, his body jerking as though he were having a seizure. The coworker turned him over and saw that Employee #1's eyes were open and that he was breathing, but that he was unresponsive when spoken to. The coworker summoned help, and Employee #1 was transported by EMS to the hospital.
