Investigation Summary
On October 1, 2007, Employee #1 was planning a board on the face on a wood joiner. The machine was not designed to be used in that manner. The blade caught the piece of wood and pulled it away out of Employee #1's hands and his left hand hit the blade and amputated his pinky finger. Employee #1 was hospitalized.
