Employee's Thumb Is Amputated by Head Pulley

At approximately 1:20 p.m. on January 5, 2005, an employee was removing boxes from the conveyor when he made contact with the head pulleys. The employee made contact with the metal detector conveyor systems head pulleys resulting in an amputated thumb. The employee was hospitalized and treated for amputation.
