Employee Slips on Wet Grass and Breaks Ankle

At 9:20 a.m. on June 10, 2005, Employee #1, a meter reader for Southern California Edison, was taking readings from the electricity meter at a residence. As he walked down the lawn to the next property, he slipped on the slightly sloped, wet grass and broke his left ankle. Employee #1 called 911 and his supervisor on his cellular phone. Paramedics arrived and he was transported to Arcadia Methodist Hospital, where he underwent surgery on his left ankle. He was released from the hospital the following afternoon.
