Employee's back injured in fall through floor

Employee #1, an assistant baker, was told by her employer to retrieve some boxes from an elevated storage area above some offices. She climbed a ladder to reach the area, then went between the studs of an unfinished wall to reach a stack of boxes. She was stepping onto the drywall/stucco flooring material on the other side of the unfinished wall when she broke through and fell onto concrete. Employee #1 suffered a herniated disc.
