Forklift Runs Over And Injures Employee

At approximately 6:15 a.m. on January 2, 2004, a forklift driver was removing wood from a lumber truck and placing it on storage rungs at a large hardware and lumber store complex. The driver, along with a spotter, did not see Employee #1, the supervisor, who was standing near the lumber truck. When Employee #1 observed the forklift coming towards him he moved to what he thought was a safe location. The driver turned and made contact with Employee #1 who sustained serious leg injuries and was hospitalized.
