Three employees injured in fall when scissor lift overturns

At approximately 9:00 a.m. on November 5, 1998, Employees #1 through #3, of Team West Construction Company, were in a scissor lift, hanging drywall at the construction site of a cinema complex in Pasadena, CA. The scissor lift overturned to one side and they fell 26 ft to the ground. Employees #1 through #3 sustained fractures, for which they were hospitalized. The scissor lift became unstable because the ground surface on which it was positioned was sloped at an average of 9.7 to 11.5 degrees, as measured with a slope meter.
