Employee is injured after falling from scaffold

At approximately 4:30 p.m. on July 8, 2004, an employee was told by his supervisor to remove the plastic covers on the windows, doors, exterior light fixtures. The supervisor drove him to the job site, and he proceeded with the work. The incident occurred when the employee accessed the scaffold from second to third tier by climbing the scaffold frame. The scaffold plank which he held on displaced and fell down, causing the employee to fall down with it. As a result of the incident, the employee sustained a right hand fracture, left leg muscular injury, head and neck injury, right rib fracture. The employee was hospitalized for nine days at LAC and USC Medical Center.
