Investigation Summary
At about 12:05 p.m. on June 18, 1999, an ice cream warehouse employee was stacking empty pallets. As he was working, seven boxes, each containing 4-gallon containers of ice cream weighing 18 lbs each, fell on him striking his right shoulder. He was transported to and treated at El Monte Hospital and then transferred to the USC Medical Center where he was hospitalized for two days.
