Investigation Summary
On May 21, 1999, Employee #1 and a coworker were pushing a dumpster type trash bin into a cement block enclosure. The clearance was very tight on either side, and as Employee #1 and the coworker maneuvered trash bin from side to side Employee #1's gloved finger got caught between the fence and the dumpster, pinching off the distal portion of his left little finger. Employee #1 was hospitalized and the distal portion of his left little finger was amputated.
