Employee injured in fall from wet roof

On January 20, 1999, Employee #1 was covering a renovated shake roof with a plastic sheeting to protect it from rain. As he stepped on the roof saturated with water, he slipped and fell off the roof to the guardrail of the balcony and then 8 ft to the ground. The impact of the fall broke his right leg and fractured his first cervical vertebrae. He was hospitalized because of the accident.
