Employee sustained hernia after reaching into cone basket

At approximately 2:25 a.m. on January 9, 2002, Employee #1 was reaching into a cone basket at the dock. While reaching into the basket, Employee #1 felt a pull in her abdomen. Employee #1 completed her shift and went home. Later in the day, after experiencing dizziness, nausea, and abdominal pain, Employee #1 was transported to a medical facility where she underwent surgery for an incarcerated hernia. Employee #1 was hospitalized until the afternoon of January 21, 2002.
