Employee's Arm Fractured in Food Mixing Machine

At approximately 12:55 p.m. on October 20, 2005, Employee #1 was reaching into a bowl of an unguarded mixer, a Hobart, Model M-802, Serial Number 11-013-040, with a 2 horse power, 80 quart capacity, with a plastic spatula. He was mixing the dough that was stuck to the inside of the bowl. His right arm was caught between the running agitator, a B-flat beater, and the inside of the bowl. He was hospitalized with a compound fracture to his right arm that required screws.
