Employee Is Injured While Using Table Saw

On August 3, 2005, an employee who worked as a carpenter, painter and dry waller, was operating a table saw, Bosch 10-in., Serial Number 18206. The saw was not equipped with a saw blade hood guard. In the process of aligning a piece of wood while the saw was on, his hand followed through into the saw blade resulting in the laceration of the left index finger and thumb, requiring surgery and two days of hospitalization.
