Employee Catches Hand in Roller and Severs Two Fingers

At 4:35 a.m. on January 27, 2006, Employee #1, working full time for the employer, was adjusting a welder corner-aid wire. As he stepped on to a motor housing to gain access to an adjusting bar, his left foot slipped and his gloved left hand fell into the conveyor area of the forming corner aid. A running forming roll caught and pulled his hand, causing amputation to his left ring and middle fingers up to the second knuckle. Employee #1 was hospitalized.
