On December 5, 2000, a mechanic, performing work as a Clerk, experienced a serious injury when his right foot became pinned between a steel flat rack holding pallets of copper sheet stacks and the counter weight of the Hyster 80 forklift that was backing up as he tried to get away from the encroaching forklift. His right foot was amputated. He was hospitalized for his injuries.
