Employee Fell From Conveyor System to Pit Floor

At 11:00 p.m. on September 3, 1998, Employee #1 was performing general maintenance of removing soapy scraps of lumber from a conveyor system. Employee #1, while 12-feet in the air, lost his footing while exiting the elevated, unguarded, conveyor system and fell to the pit floor. Employee #1 sustained multiple facial fractures and a fractured wrist.
