Employee's arm crushed by roll of coiled steel

At approximately 12:00 noon on April 27, 1998, Employee #1, a seam welder/decoiler operator, was placing a roll of coiled steel onto the mandrel of a decoiler when he suffered a serious crushing injury to his right upper arm. He was transported to Loma Linda University Medical Center, where he was hospitalized for about 29 hours.
