EMPLOYEE'S FINGER IS AMPUTATED IN SCREW MACHINE

At approximately 7:45 a.m. on February 25, 1998, Employee #1 was operating a Brown & Sharpe screw machine Model Number B-19 in the Brown & Sharpe Department. The machine actuated as Employee #1 was placing a part, a brass cap, in the turret. The threading operation resulted in the amputation of her right middle finger at the distal joint and she was hospitalized for eight days.
