Employee's Leg Is Fractured When Struck by Falling Machine

At approximately 1:45 p.m. on October 8, 2004, Employee #1 was working for a linen supply service that leased blankets, sheets and towels to medical facilities and commercial operations. Soiled linens are sorted, washed, dried, folded and packaged for distribution. Employee #1 and coworkers were attempting to push a Challenge six-pack, a small folding machine, when it tipped over and fell towards them. The machine struck Employee #1 on her right shoulder and lower leg as it fell. Employee #1 was hospitalized with a fractured leg.
