EMPLOYEE INJURED IN FALL FROM RAILCAR

Employee #1 was preparing to unload vehicles from the top deck of a railcar. Exiting the top deck, he was holding the metal handle on the inside of the car while moving to grab the outside handle and descend the railcar ladder. His grip on the outside handle was not secure before he released his grip on the inside handle. He fell approximately 15 ft to the ground and was hospitalized. Employee #1 sustained a non-displaced fracture to his left wrist and a compound fracture of his left heel.
