Employee injured when tractor falls off ramp

Employee #1 was working as a mechanic for a landscaping contractor in Vallejo, CA. He inspected a Yanmar 2700 tractor before driving it across the yard and up a steel ramp into a flatbed trailer. When the tractor's larger rear tires reached the ramp, Employee #1 apparently hit the brakes and the tractor fell on its left side to the ground. Employee #1 suffered severe lower back pain and torn ligaments in his right knee.
