Summary Nr: 202549424 | Event: 06/23/2008 | Employee Fractures Arm In Fall Through Second Floor Window | ||||
On June 23, 2008, Employee #1, a glazier, was installing aluminum frames on the window openings on the second floor of a new two-story commercial building. He was standing on a fiberglass A-Frame ladder, placed on a sheet metal. Employee #1 was decking next to the 9-ft high and 8-ft wide window opening. Employee #1 was holding the frame and was hammering the anchor in the hole. The ladder slid out under him, and he fell through the window of the second floor to a dirty ground. Employee #1 fractured his left arm and wrist and sustained unspecified face injuries. Employee #1 was transported to Western Medical Center, Santa Ana, California, where he was surgically treated and hospitalized. No witnesses observed this incident. | ||||||
