Employee injured in fall down embankment

Employee #1 and a coworker were loading wooden lagging onto a forklift. Employee #1 was on one side of a load when the soft dirt beneath him started to move and he slid approximately 15 ft down an embankment and over a shored, landing on a concrete floor. He sustained injuries that required hospitalization. There was no railing on Employee #1's side of the work area.
