Employee's neck fractured when struck by falling wall frame

Employee #1, a laborer, was working with two carpenters who were framing the entryway of a house. Employee #1 was holding up a 14 ft high by 15 ft ft wide side wall section. The carpenters were trying to set up another framed section adjacent to it when they lost control of this section and it fell against the frame Employee #1 was holding. Both frames then fell on Employee #1, crushing him. He was rushed to the hospital, where he underwent emergency surgery for a fractured vertebrae in his neck. No straps or braces had been used to help secure the frames.
